recently upon revisiting the articles, specifically of Sonic characters who appear in the new Sonic game "Sonic Dream Team" (this was 2 weeks ago mind you) the page's reference images of the characters themselves have been changed to their respective renders from Dream Team, aprox 3 days later (i assume, i cant be too sure) they were reverted back to the flat 2000s images and i think, why do this exactly? i think the use of the Dream Team renders better suit the characters themselves and the Yuji Uekawa art has been used for, what was it like 10 years now? i think it shouldnt hurt too much to atleast change the images eventually. I brought this up at Talk:Shadow the Hedgehog when it was happening. The Fandom wiki on Sonic the Hedgehog has always used the latest renders to represent the characters, but most folks who work on the relevant pages on Wikipedia are more interested in using the long-standing and more iconic 2D art. Plus it means we do not need to upload more non-free media. Reconrabbit01:18, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
